How will this effect my binding performance?
No, you do not need to change your bindings. ShredShox has been extensively tested in collaboration with Start Haus in Truckee, California, to assess all release characteristics. Our testing, conducted on a Wintersteiger machine, confirmed that there is no change in binding performance when used with the ShredShox platform. You can continue to use your existing bindings without any concerns about safety or functionality.
How Much Does the ShredShox Weigh?
The ShredShox platform adds approximately 3 pounds per foot, designed to enhance performance without compromising agility on the slopes. Through six generations of rigorous product testing, users noted the added weight, but it did not lead to any adverse effects during skiing. In fact, the elevated riding position combined with the added weight delivers a surprising benefit—a lowered center of gravity that theoretically assists with cornering. Does the ShredShox Include Bindings?

While installation can be done independently, we always recommend having your bindings installed by a professional technician to ensure proper setup and safety. This will guarantee optimal performance and reliability on the mountain.
Do I Need to Put Air in My ShredShox?
Yes, you will need to use a mountain bike air shock pump to set the air pressure in your ShredShox. It is recommended to start with 35-50 lbs of air pressure in each shock. From there, you can adjust the pressure based on your weight and skiing performance.
Increasing the air pressure can help fine-tune the suspension for a firmer ride, while reducing it can provide a softer feel, depending on your preference and the terrain conditions. This customization ensures that ShredShox is optimized for your unique skiing style and needs.
